The new Xotic SP Compressor uses an Operational Transconductance Amplifier (OTA), which turns the difference between your original guitar signal and its inverse into an output current that electronically controls the pedal's gain to create remarkably clean, responsive compression. The SP Compressor offers outstanding tone quality throughout a wide variety of compression effects, and its versatile subtlety may be the secret to the best guitar sound you will have ever used to make music. A Blend control gives you the full sweep from all dry to all effect and all combinations in between, and the Volume control gives you up to 15dB of boost. The 3-way toggle sets the range of the whole effect while the four-throw internal dipswitch lets you select a high or low attack time, a fast or slow release time, a high cut filter and an input buffer that works both to prevent distortion and to trim the low frequency signal. The SP is wired for true bypass and operates on a standard 9v battery or 9vDC power supply.
