🦜 Indian Ringneck Parrot (Psittacula krameri manillensis)

The Indian Ringneck Parrot, also known as the Indian Ringneck Parakeet, is a medium-sized, vibrantly colored parrot native to India and parts of South Asia. These parrots are known for their intelligence, playful nature, and ability to mimic human speech.

🔹 Appearance:

Size: Around 14–17 inches (36–43 cm) from head to tail.

Color: Bright green is most common, though mutations include yellow (lutino), blue, albino, grey, and turquoise.

Distinctive Feature: Adult males develop a black and pink “ring” around the neck, while females and juveniles typically lack this feature or have a faint ring.

Tail: Long and tapered, adding to their elegant appearance.

Eyes: Reddish-orange with a white eye-ring.
