What it's like being bitten by a talking parakeet

Описание к видео What it's like being bitten by a talking parakeet

Join us in exploring budgie behavior. Kiwi, a 6-year-old parakeet, is tame to humans but was introduced to a new parakeet, Pixel, 3 years ago. When Kiwi is engaged in prosocial behavior with Pixel, interruption of the behavior can be met with forceful biting. Occasionally, the behavior morphs into affection instead of aggression. Sometimes we wonder whether the biting behavior is simply misdirected mating behavior. In the end, Kiwi just wants someone to talk to; both the other parakeet and shiny fingernail serve as trusty confidants.
