Nearly all Chinese mini lathes are sold with brushed DC motors.
most fail within 2 years. The three I purchased all 3 failed in less than 20 hours of operation.
That is partially due to inferior armature machining and faulty brush contacts.
It is also caused by metal filings shorting out the main board as it is
not protected from contaminates.

Part 3 will be a custom build in of our servo motor upgrade to include
using parts that do not exist as of making part 1. These parts are in R&D
right now.

In fact and since this is prototype 1, we will remove them off the machine and sell them to you. We will make more. This is because each time we make them we make them better. In about 10 builds we will have it down to a bolt on kit. That kit will be available around the fall of 2023.
