கீதாசாமி பப்ளிஷர்ஸ் பெருமையுடன் வழங்கும்,"பணியின் பரிமாணங்கள் " என்ற தொடரின் இந்த பதிவில் பங்கு பெருபவர் 1994ஆம் ஆண்டு Indian Audit and Accounts Service எனப்படும் மத்திய கணக்கு மற்றும் தணிக்கை பணியில் சேர்ந்த திரு R. அம்பலவாணன் அவர்கள்.
தற்போது சென்னையில் மத்திய அரசின் பொது நிறுவனங்களை தணிக்கை செய்யும் பணியில் வணிக தணிக்கை முதன்மை இயக்குனராக உள்ளார். கொடைக்கானலில் உள்ள பூலத்தூர் என்ற கிராமத்தில் பிறந்த இவர் அடிப்படையில் ஒரு வேளாண்மை பட்டதாரி. சூழலியலில் பட்டமேற்படிப்பு மற்றும் Remote Sense எனப்படும் தொலை உணர்வு பாடத்திலும் மேற்படிப் பையும் முடித்தவர். தனது பணியின் அனுபவத்தை நம்மோடு இத்தளத்தில் பகிர்ந்து கொள்கிறார். சாதிக்க துடிக்கும் இளைஞர்களுக்கு இது பெரிய ஊக்க உரை என்றால் மிகையல்ல.

In the "Nature of Service" series, Thiru Amabalavanan 1994 batch of Indian Audit & Accounts Service (IAAS) officer and currently serving as Principal Director of Commercial Audit in CAG’s Department at Chennai having jurisdiction on Central PSUs (Oil Companies like IOCL, BPCL, HPCL, MRPL/ Insurance Companies/ BHEL/NLC/ Chennai Metro etc) and Central Autonomous Boards like shipping ports and commodity boards in south India.
He hails from a hilly village viz Poolathur in Kodaikanal Taluk, Dindigul Dist of Tamilnadu.
Ambalavanan graduated in Agricultural Science(BSc Ag) from TNAU, Madurai Campus, got post graduate degree (MSc) in Environmental Studies from Cochin University of Science & Technology, Kochi and attained M.Tech degree in Remote Sensing from College of Engineering, Guindy, Anna University, Chennai.
