Hi welcome to my YouTube channel. Spend a day in my upholstery workshop as I make / upholster a bespoke headboard from start to finish. I'll share upholstery tips and tricks along the way, like when to make relief cuts, what is railroading and when you can or can't do it, the art of the temporary staple and when and why I use them, contrast piping vs self piping. I also share some personal stories of why I was able to become an upholsterer through having a workroom at home- being raised in a creative family.

This headboard is a special one for me as it was a job through my sister (she is an interior designer) and she is the reason I became an upholsterer as she surrounded me in wonderful fabrics from a young age.. and still is by choosing this beautiful Fermoie linen for this project.

My boyfriend and I make headboards, footstools, ottomans, cushions and do reupholstery also, all from my small home workroom in the heart of the West Sussex countryside.
