Cragging on Cerro Torre

Описание к видео Cragging on Cerro Torre

With the forecast showing a marginal weather window at best, Lance Colley, Cedar Christensen, Sam Stuckey and I ventured into the Torre Valley with a weeks worth of food and excessive stoke. We ended up going on a tour of the Torre Valley campgrounds on our search for climbable rock and warm temperatures. The four of us climbed Rubio y Azul on Aguja Media Luna (350m, 6c) at the toe of the Southwest Ridge of Cerro Torre in very cold and snowy conditions the first afternoon. Temperatures were more tolerable the next day, which allowed Cedar and I to romp up the nearby Frader Pisafe on El Mocho (400m, 6c+) in just a few hours.

We then ventured across the valley with hopes to climb some of the west faces in the Fitz range. We met up with more friends who managed to bag the summit of Aguja de l'S the same day via the Austiaca. The next morning we woke up to howling winds which we were told would persist through the coming days so we bailed to the beach.
