Markon First Crop (MFC) Strawberries are currently being harvested out of Watsonville, CA. The Watsonville season is winding down and production will soon transition to new crop berries out of Santa Maria, CA. Santa Maria has started in a light way, but weather has been favorable and volume is increasing steadily. Flavor profile is currently not as sweet, but the texture and shelf life potential are starting to surpass Watsonville fruit. Markon inspectors will continue to monitor quality and supply in both regions and update further as needed.
