This video outlines the development of the Christian idea of Jesus as Cosmic Final Judge moving backwards through time! It begins with various modern receptions of the "Second Coming" and "Last Judgement," then travels back through the creeds and before them the New Testament texts, and ends with the origins of eschatological judgement in Early Jewish apocalypticism.
