Minister Satyavathi Rathod convinces migrant labour to stay back in TS arranged food shelter

Minister for ST Women and Child Welfare Satyavathi Rathod kept the promise made by Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao that no migrant labour will go hungry and would have to leave Telangana for want of shelter during the Lockdown. Knowing that a group of Maharashtra workers who have been waiting at Mahabubabad for the things to get normal, reached out to them while they were walking back home, and convinced them to stay back.

The Minister explained to the migrant workers who eke a living by working in Chilly fields, that they will not be permitted to travel and enter another state in the present lockdown situation. She saw to it that the farm labour were given accommodation in a nearby school and handed over Rs 10,000 and 2 quintals of rice, cooking utensils . She also summoned doctors for a quick check up of the migrant labour.
