Pain Relief Meditation For Quick Release From Physical Pain

Описание к видео Pain Relief Meditation For Quick Release From Physical Pain

The purpose of this pain meditation is to give you another pain management technique. Often, there is not one reliable solution for chronic pain, so having a few psychological tools such as guided imagery, relaxation and cognitive behavioral therapy can help you self-manage some of the symptoms, alongside your doctors recommendations.

Living with pain is so hard. But chronic pain is not just about the physical pain. It's about the tension you feel that ripples throughout your life. The repercussions it has on your family life, worklife and your emotional reaction to the pain.

Guided imagery is one relaxation technique that can be used to help you manage your pain. Using your imagination to bring down the intensity of the pain. When combined with other therapeutic interventions, guided imagery has been shown to reduce stress and improve healing. Clinicians and health care clinics use this technique as part of a well-rounded pain management treatment program.

In this guided meditation you will be using the power of your mind to treat your body. The goal is to reduce your anxiety and produce your body's natural relaxation response, depicted by slower breathing, lower blood pressure, and a feeling of calm and well-being.

The guided imagery exercise used in this pain meditation is called "glove anesthesia". This intervention is based on my creative interpretation of the glove anesthesia hypnotherapy technique, but does not include a hypnotic induction. Instead my soft British female voice will encourage you to become comfortable and create a soothing mental image. You'll be guided through a short body scan to locate pain sensations in the body. And then gently guided in creating your own pain relief using images of a numbing anesthetic cream.

If you've tried my Generation Calm pain relief meditations before you'll know that these meditations and relaxation exercises work well for many types of physical pain relief. A majority of my audience leave comments about how these interventions have worked for their pain and, in fact, many have reported a clinically significant change in pain.

So whether you have chronic back pain, period cramps or intermittent pain as part of a chronic disease such as IBS or CFS, you can try using this guided meditation as part of your treatment plan to lead a more balanced life. Empowering you, as an individual, to choose the way pain is managed and for the content and style of interventions.

Be well, be calm,
❤ Clare

I research, write, narrate and edit free Guided Meditation videos for people who are suffering with chronic illnesses. I qualified as a Clinical Psychologist in 2004 but was creating relaxation resources for my clinical clients even before that (using a tape recorder 🖭).

Using my knowledge, soft voice and empathy, I create my meditations with the hope that they’ll reach the right person exactly when they need it. I hope this video brings you light, love and happiness. Thank you so much for watching my videos and for linking, sharing and subscribing.
