KASUNDI PANEER TIKKA

Ingredients

2 tbsps kasundi mustard paste
400 grams cottage cheese (paneer), cut into 2-inch pieces
½ cup hung yogurt
1½ tbsps ginger-garlic-green chilli paste
Salt to taste
½ tsp chaat masala
½ lemon
2 tbsps mustard oil
½ tsp turmeric powder
3 tbsps gram flour (besan)
1 medium green capsicum, seeded and cut into 2-inch pieces
1 medium red capsicum, seeded and cut into 2-inch pieces
Butter for greasing
Salad for serving

Method

1. Preheat the oven to 200°C.
2. Take hung yogurt in a bowl. Add kasundi mustard paste, ginger-garlic-green chilli paste, salt and chaat masala.
3. Squeeze lemon and mix well.
4. Heat mustard oil in a small nonstick pan. Once it starts to smoke, add turmeric powder, gar, flour and sauté for 2-3 minutes.
5. Add this mixture to yogurt mixture and mix well.
6. Add green capsicum, red capsicum and cottage cheese to the marinade and mix well.
7. Set aside to marinate for 10-15 minutes.
8. Grease a baking tray with some butter. Skewer the capsicums and cottage cheese pieces on steel skewers and arrange on baking tray.
9. Bake for 10-15 minutes. Baste with butter at regular intervals of time.
10. Transfer on a serving plate and serve hot with salad.
