Acoustic Material testing is essential for manufacturers to get their product approved and accepted for the acoustic properties as required.
Typically an impedance tube will be used for selecting the best samples (it's very affordable and fast), then the best samples will be used for final testing in reverberation chambers for transmission loss (I.e. ISO10140) or sound absorption (ISO354), of course the measurements can be performed following an international available standard such as ISO, ASTM, BS, DIN, NEN etc.
