Dungeon Defenders - Final Boss: Old One (Nightmare Hardcore)

Do note that since this is the final boss, on the hardest possible difficulty, spoilers abound. You have been warned.

I was gonna tack on the entirety of the final level to this video, but after looking through the recordings everything except this fight is so horribly audio desync'ed it's unwatchable. This is the only part that's really interesting anyway (well, the boss gauntlet is kind of chaotic with the stupid dragon, but whatever). Besides, that would've made it about 80 minutes long...ugh. Now, the fight itself...one of my better attempts obviously. I have beaten it before, but it's still freaking hard. Auras get instakilled on any part above the feet, rendering them useless, hence why I didn't even try to summon one. You may notice the zero lives. That's only if you do it on hardcore, you get an amply supply of lives otherwise. Doing it on NMHC is required for the ultimate costume though, which gives a major boost to HP and damage. I have it, but didn't use it to prove that it can be done without that.

I can't really explain how to go about fighting this boss. You just have to recognize the audio/visual cues for all his attacks and know how to dodge them. Capped fire resist is NECESSARY though, I will say that. That ground fire freaking HURTS without it. Just watch the video, practice yourself, and pray he doesn't do his instant death breath attack when you get to the head. That ruined one of my previous attempts.
