Project Details
The 12.71 km freeway will be a 6-lane access-controlled highway connecting Airoli Bridge to Parsik, Shilphata, and Katai Naka in Maharashtra . The project is divided into three phases:

Phase 1
Road section connecting Thane-Belapur Road and NH-48 near Mumbra Bypass (5.2 km)
Includes a 3.5 km stretch of NH-48 and a 1.7 km tunnel cutting through Parsik Hill

Phase 2
Elevated road leading to the eastern end of the Airoli Bridge (2.2 km)
Currently under construction by J Kumar Infraprojects

Phase 3
Road running parallel to the Diva-Panvel railway line connecting NH-48 and Katai Naka (6.71 km)
Afcons Infrastructure was declared the lowest bidder for this phase in August 2024

The project aims to reduce travel time by 30-40% and provide smooth connectivity between Mumbai, Kalyan, and Badlapur Industrial Estate .
