これは1791年のアメリカ映画”Summer of’42（思い出の夏）”の主題歌.. Été '42の主題歌です。監督はロバート・マリガン、脚本家のハーマン・ローチャーの少年時代の思い出をもとに作られました。話しは、少年が美しい年上の女性に夏のバカンスで訪れた海辺で会う、彼女は戦争で恋人を失い一人で暮らしていて、彼女は彼は一夜の恋の時間を過ごします。でも彼女は彼の元から去り、彼は大人になったと同時に「少年であることを永遠に失った」として映画は終わります。とても簡単なストーリーですが、私たちの心を打つのは、これが、人生や愛の真実を描いているからだと思います。ミシェル・ルグランはこの曲で第４４回のアカデミー賞を獲得しました。
今回さかもと未明はこの曲の美しさと、以前訪れた御宿の美しい海の記憶からか、新しい物語を生み出しました。それは2020年の10月23日に発売される写真集”Ｈ’ｉｓｔｏｒｅｓ ｄ’ａｍｏｕｒｓ”（ＭＩＭＥＩＤＩＡ）に収録されています、そのストーリーはこんなふうです。
主人公は妖精のミミ（さかもと未明が演じています）。天使と人間の合間のような存在です。ミミはマメちゃん（マメ山田 / 俳優・マジシャン）という、小さくてマジックが得意な妖精と暮らしていました。二人は友達以上恋人未満な関係、二人とも永遠の命を生きていますが、もし妖精が人間に恋をして関係してしまったら、その永遠の命や魔法を使う力は失われます。でもミミはある日、美しい外国人の人間に出会い、恋をしてしまいました。彼女はマメちゃんを捨てていいのか悩みます、でも、永遠の命を捨てて愛を選ぶのです。
この物語は、マメちゃんの愛の物語として描かれました。彼はミミを愛していますが、だからこそ辛くても、彼女の好きなように選ばせてあげます。彼は彼女を見送り、もう二度と彼女の前に現れることはないのでしょう。一人、愛の記憶をかみしめながら生まれた海に帰っていくマメちゃんの姿、御宿の海の美しい色を、ミシェル・ルグランの美しいメロディー・クリヤ・マコトさんの素晴らしいピアノがひきたててくれます。また、素晴らしい海の色と物語を形にしてくれた編集の大沢拓人さん、このストーリを演じてくれたマメ山田さんの友情に、すべての素晴らしいアーティストに、心からの感謝を申し上げます。
