#Sumi Community #Daklane & #Kitsubozou celebrates Tuluni

Kohima, July 8: The Sumi Community Daklane & Kitsubozou (SCDK) Kohima celebrated #Tuluni festival with much pomp and traditional gaiety at Mount Olive College, Daklane, Kohima on July 8.

The celebration was graced by #Aronto Jimo, PS to #Minister PWD (R&B) Nagaland as the special guest.

The celebration was marked by indigenous songs, traditional fire making, indigenous games and Tuluni feast etc.

It may be mentioned that, the premier festival of Sumi- Nagas “Tuluni” festival is celebrated to welcome the arrival of the new crop/fruit from the field. 

The significant festival is celebrated to offer to thank God for the abundant yield in the preceding year. It is also a time to exchange and share among the members which keeps the social bond alive and strong in the community.
