2nd Grade Math 3.4, Add 3 Addends

Описание к видео 2nd Grade Math 3.4, Add 3 Addends

We can add 3 addends by adding two addends first, then adding the third addend to that sum. It's helpful if two addends will make a ten first. Addition problems can be written as a number sentence, or in vertical form, up-and-down. The sum will be the same. We can add in any order to get the same sum. We can solve addition problems in different ways by adding in different orders. If we get the same sum by adding different ways, our sum is probably correct. Remember to add all of the addends. An unknown addend is a missing addend. We can find an unknown addend by adding 2 of the addends first, then find the missing addend by figuring out how many more we need to equal the sum. We solve two word problems that involve adding three addends.
