VW RNS-315 service mode hidden menu

How to enter hidden menu in Volkswagen #RNS315 navigation system to view #diagnostic data about FM/AM radio tuners and check unit part number and navigation version of the device. Simply turn on the ignition, wait for the system to start, locate SETUP button on the right side of the display, press and hold it for about 5 second, release then #hiddenMenu appears.
From here you can check radio turn frequency, signal quality and strength, RDS and antenna status. You can also check hardware and software versions of the device, navigation part number and region.

ℹ️ Looking at the signal quality and strength you can confirm if there's no interference in you car caused by additional equipment like aftermarket LEDs.

ℹ️ The same unit was also installed in Skoda and SEAT cars. It was called Skoda Amundsen and SEAT Media System.
