How to crimp using ‪@beadalon‬ products!

Scrimps are extra secure, screw to tighten, crimp beads. Instead of crimping beads onto a wire, you use a tiny screwdriver to first open the scrimp, insert the wire into the bead, slide your wire through a wire guard, slide the wire back through the scrimp and use the screwdriver to tighten closed. Scrimps are adjustable and reusable if you decide to take apart your jewelry and make something else.
If I crossed my wires at some point, you don’t want to cross them. I usually lay them side-by-sid

How to use an E Z crimp
Cut the desired length of your wire. insert the wire into the center of the EZ crimp bead. You do not want your wire too long in the center. Do you want it hiding just right above the outside of the crimp area and on the inside of the ring. The easy crimp already comes with the ring you do not need a wire guard. Once your wire is securely in place, take your crimping tool, standard size and rotate your crimp onto it, side and pinch down and crimp in place. You want to make sure you pinch it down enough to hold your wire securely.

How to crimp with wire guard, crimp and crimp cover.

Slide wire through wire guard on right side. Loop wire over top of wire guard and down through other side and back through crimp bead.

Tighten wire and move crimp bead below wire guard. Leave a small soce between the end of the wire guard and crimp so you have space to crimp with the tool.

Next using crimp tool, crimp the bead with the larger opening closest to the top. Close gently around crimp bead so it doesn’t split.

Next rotate your crimp over and crimp closed with tool, closing gently. The closed crimp bead will look like a fold.

I like crimp covers. But they can be a hassle sometimes. If you choose to use one over your crimp, slide it over your crimp and pinch close with your beading tools. You can use either a crimp tool or chain nose pliers.

You’ve now crimped! Happy creating!
