Road infrastructure remains a challenge for most rural parts of the Eastern Cape. The residents of Mzobotshe, outside Qumbu, have accused the Mhlontlo Local Municipality of neglecting them. They say the road they use to access shops, healthcare facilities and other government services has not been repaired since 2005. Mzobotshe is one of four villages that were under the Libode-based Nyandeni Local Municipality. Through the Demarcation Board, the village was moved to Mhlontlo Local Municipality in 2005. The residents say since then, they've not seen any development. SABC Reporter Lwandile Mbulali has more on this story.
