ICC | Prosecutor Karim Khan accused of sexual harassment

The International Criminal Court's Prosecutor Karim Khan has denied an allegation of misconduct levelled against him by a member of his Office. This was earlier confirmed in a statement by the President of the Assembly of States Parties, Paivi Kaukoranta, who confirmed that the Court's Independent Oversight Mechanism or IOM was seized with the matter on the basis of a third-party report. The Wall Street Journal's Editorial Board reported this week that Khan was accused of sexual harassment by a junior staffer in his office who told colleagues in late April that the Prosecutor had repeatedly harassed her - citing a whistleblower report to the ICC's oversight mechanism. Khan has since taken to social media to defend himself, saying there was no truth to suggestions of misconduct.
