ICELAND - ISLE OF AWE LAND

In March 2021, I spent two weeks at Iceland.

During my first week, I was undergoing quarantine at Julias's Guesthouse close to Selfoss. I used the time to walk around, observe the clouds and the mountains and to ultimately calm down at trhis beuatiful place.
When my quarantine came to an end, I was blessed with some strong Northern lights dancing in the skies.

During the second week, I travelled along the ring road towards Höfn and spent some time at well known but also not so well known places.

I was taking photos and videos and let my drone fly in between to explore the world from above.

One day prior to my departure, the volcano at Reykjanes erupted, and I experienced some of the excitement around this as well as the nightly skies lit by the hot lava.

I was really privileged to travel through Iceland in the middle of the pandemic when not so many tourists were around. The ones I met were mainly doctors from Germany who had already received their vaccination.

I only checked all the video material after a couple of weeks and started sorting and shortening it. At some point in time, I started working on it in more detail, selecting the music and doing the final cut.
Now I feel that it's time to publish the results - hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed the trip!
