Are you planning to waste all the valuable data from Black Friday Cyber Monday?

Tina Donati, head of marketing at Simple Bundles, shares how smart Shopify merchants use BFCM data to create product bundling strategies that drive revenue for 2026 and beyond.

The Post-BFCM Strategy:
Right now, you should be preparing to capture and analyze all the data you get from Black Friday Cyber Monday. Hopefully you already have your bundles planned and know what offers you're sharing during the holiday season. But the real opportunity is using BFCM engagement and purchase data to inform your strategy for next year.

What Data to Track:
Pay close attention to how customers are engaging on your website and what they're purchasing during BFCM. What are the number one and number two items people are buying together? Which products are frequently added to the same cart? What's the natural purchase sequence, first item followed by second item?

Turn Data Into Bundles:
If two items are being purchased together 5% to 10% of the time during your BFCM sales, that's a strong indicator they would make an excellent bundled product. Customers are already telling you what combinations they want by purchasing these items naturally together. Your job is to make it easier by pre-bundling them.

Natural Purchase Patterns:
Look at what customers are purchasing naturally together without any prompting. Also analyze sequential purchases: what do customers buy first, then what do they come back for second? These patterns reveal opportunities to create bundles that match real customer behavior rather than guessing what might work.

Plan for 2026 Now:
Use your BFCM data to decide which bundles you can put together for 2026 and beyond. The products people are already naturally combining from your store are proven winners. Building bundles around actual purchase data rather than assumptions dramatically increases conversion rates and average order value.

Implementation Timeline:
Don't wait until next November to act on this data. Analyze your BFCM results in December and January, create new bundle offerings in Q1 2026, and test them throughout the year so you're optimized well before next peak season.
