Today's lesson will focus on how to teach about the Palestine and the Arab World to kids. In this video we had the honor of being with my father and Arab music specialist at Quartertonez Music, Fuad Foty, to walk us through how to use song to teach about the Arab world. When we teach kids about the Arab world it will hopefully make them more tolerant and understanding to people of diverse cultures and backgrounds, and as they get older caution them to the misrepresentation of the Arab world in the media historically and currently.

The song that we sang in this video is called: "La Tas Alni Aan Onwan" by Ahmad Qaboor. What is special about this song is it is expressing global solidarity and showing students that we are all connected no matter where we live in the world. What connects us all is our global fight for equality, fairness, and justice. My father taught my siblings and I this song when we were young, and we have been playing it ever since. We are happy to share it with you so you can teach your students as well!
