The NVR Programme-Supporting Parents, to learn to resist the argumentative behaviour of teenagers and children avoiding the escalation traps. Choosing to learn to respond and not react using the NVR, six pillars of strength to increase parental presence in the home and resist challenging behaviours from teenagers is a powerful and empowering choice for parents to make. This programme is an excellent in-depth parenting course for:
1.Generic parenting where you learn to resist a lot of the "normal" developmental teenage behaviours that challenge us and have the potential to engage us in escalating arguments.
2. Supporting parents who are parenting children & adults with special needs including ADHD/Autism/ID.
3. The programme supports parents who are experiencing child to adult violence and aggression.
This Webinar is an introduction to the Non-Violent Resistance Parenting Course-The new authority in parenting.
On the night we discussed the challenges of parenting in the context of the programme. We had 2 special guests on board. The first is a parent graduate, who give us a talk on her experience of the course and how it has impacted her family life. We had John Lonergan, author and public speaker to balance the equation and talk about the Rewards as well as the Challenges of parenting.
The strength and successful outcomes of the programme stem from its focus on the parent-child relationship seeking to maintain, build or repair the child and parent relationships. It is not like traditional parenting programmes that focus on behaviour support/management.
