The Calcudoku is a math puzzle that follows the rules of Sudoku, but with the added requirement that the numbers in each sectioned off area have to fulfill a given arithmetic equation. The puzzle goes by a few names: some might refer to it as the daily KenKen puzzle, or the Mathdoku. And the puzzles range in size from 4X4 to 9X9, and also in complexity (easy, medium, hard). Today we will be looking at the medium 5X5 KenKen, but I would like to tackle bigger and harder puzzles in future videos. The puzzles look a bit daunting at first, but I break it down into simple easy to follow steps.

I set up the Steve the Math Buddha YouTube channel so that we can explore simpler ways to solve math problems. We will be investigating general mathematical concepts, and using them to come up with fun new solutions to math problems. The concepts we will be investigating can be used for SAT prep, ACT prep, GRE prep, Algebra Regents prep, Geometry Regents prep, Math Olympiad prep, and general high school math prep.
