Booster Catch Test: The Super Heavy Booster will return to the launch site and attempt another controlled landing using the launch tower's "chopstick" arms. This was successfully demonstrated in the previous test​.
Starship Enhancements: The Starship upper stage will test new heatshield configurations and conduct an in-flight Raptor engine relight for a deorbit burn, critical for future orbital missions.
Indian Ocean Splashdown: After reentry, the Starship will land in the Indian Ocean, providing more daylight observation opportunities than prior nighttime splashdowns.
Hardware and Software Updates: SpaceX has introduced additional redundancies in the booster’s propulsion, improved structural elements, and updated software to streamline propellant offloading and refine reusability.
