Their fading steps the dead perceive.

Or fire burning deep inside.

Barzakh stands between death and rise,
A barrier placed till the Day they rise.

Graves release them to their Lord.

That Day fear grows within the soul,
A man will flee from his own brother’s hold.

The sun draws near above each head,
Sweat will rise by deeds once said.

Records given — right or left,
Joy or sorrow deeply felt.

The Scale is set in perfect balance,
Justice stands in full allowance.

No deed forgotten, none erased,
Every action stands in place.

The Sirat spans the Fire below,
Across it every soul must go.
Some will pass like flashing light,
Some will tremble in dreadful fright.

Light moves before you and at your right,
The path unfolds in faith’s pure light.

Whoever saved from Fire that Day,
Finds eternal peace in Allah’s way.
