This is the fastest way to access a Birfield joint. This method removes the knuckle as an entire assembly from the Toyota soild or live axle (1979-1985 U.S. trucks). Because the knuckle can be removed an an entire unit you don't lose any of your wheel bearing pre-load. This method works great on the trail if you break a birfield and need to replace it.
