Virender Mohan Bhatia was born in Lyallpur (Faisalabad) in 1936. His family members fondly called him Thekedar. His father experienced a financial crisis in his young life, and moved from Jalalpur Bhattian, Hafizabad to Lyallpur. He started a stationery shop in Bhawana Bazar in Faisalabad and named it “Bhatia di Hatti.” Every year from then on the business flourished and his father started investing in properties all over Govindpura district in Faisalabad.
