Welcome to the FBS! (Series Debut) - CFB 25 Kennesaw State Owls Dynasty (Y1|W1) - Ep. 1

Helllooo everybody and come along for the journey as we embark on building the Kennesaw State football program on EA Sports College Football 25 as the newest team in the FBS.

In this episode, we'll kick off the series as we head to the Alamodome in San Antonio to take on the UTSA Roadrunners. This marks the first game for Kennesaw State at the FBS level thus growing pains are to be expected. However, the defense comes out of the gate strong head manned by Donelius Johnson and South Carolina transfer Donovan Westmoreland as the sides trade plenty of punts.

However, it was a much different story offensively. Between penalties, poor blocking, and dropped passes, among other shortfalls, the offense struggles to hit their stride and find any flow. Redshirt sophomore QB Davis Bryson does the best he can under center, but the UTSA defense does a tremendous job at getting after him and limiting time on dropbacks. However, Gabriel Benyard and Michael Benefield provide admirable efforts as a 1-2 punch out of the backfield.

As the game wears down, so too does the Kennesaw State defense. Owen McCown engineers the high-tempo offense of the Roadrunners effortlessly en route to a 300-yard passing day. De'Corian Clark is a potential draft pick at wide receiver, but it's Robert Henry who stole the show and turned in a Player of the Week caliber performance.

While the Roadrunners started to race for the finish line, could the Owls keep pace; or would they be left in the dust?

In the next episode, we'll have a more proper introduction to head coach Josh Terry, previously of our Marquette Dynasty on NCAA 14. We'll dive deep into the roster going position by position and previewing who we're working with this season and the seasons to come. The recruiting board will be revealed for the first time in this series as we'll outline our key prospects and recruiting strategy this season.

We'll then bounce around the college football landscape and go over the Top 25 which pays witness to a major shakeup as a top 10 SEC team gets upset in Week 1. We'll conclude by previewing our Week 2 opponent, the Louisiana Ragin Cajuns.
