Folk artist Laura Davis makes the best out of waste using salvaged windows. In our profile, she says of this style of painting: "I appreciate the results I get from this medium. The actual painting has to be done very very quickly from reverse so there’s only a couple of chances to turn it (the window) around and see if it’s working. If not, the paint has to be removed fast! Because of that I’m relying mostly on intuition as opposed to quilting where I spend more time planning a design and the process is slower and more deliberate."
