HOW TO CLEAN & MAINTAIN YOUR NEW AIRSTREAM | Pete's RV Quick Tips (Airstream Edition)

As Randy explains, it's best to first rinse off your Airstream with clean water to clear all dirt and debris from the camper and to prevent any kind of scratching of the clear coat. Following the initial rinse, a mild soap and water solution should be used with either a microfiber sponge, hand mitt, or soft bristled bush to fully clean the exterior. Once completed, a final rinse should be done to clean off all the soapy water and let sit to dry before the next step.

After your camper is fully dry, Randy recommends a coat of wax to protect the aluminum exterior and to make the camper really shine. The final step is making sure to clean and maintain the awning. Randy lays it out plain and simple, suggesting we only use water to rinse off all dirt and debris, then allow the awning to dry before it's put back.

Moving on the the interior, Randy suggests a small list of items to be kept on hand at all times to make cleaning and maintaining the interior quick and easy. The list below provides a quick overview of what products should be used on which surfaces of the airstream interior.

• Pledge for all wood surfaces
• Microfiber Cloth for light dirt and dust
• Sponge used with mild soap
• Swiffer to quickly clean the vinyl flooring
• 409 Surface cleaner for heavy duty cleaning
• Lysol to clean and disinfect the bathroom
