REMEMBER:

PLACE VALUE is the value represented by a digit in a number on the basis of its position in the number. For example in 47, the place value of 7 is ones and the place value of 4 is tens.


Value is the value of the digit in the number. It depends on its place or position in a number.
For example: In 78, the value of 7 is 70 because 7 is in the tens place. So, 7 tens is equal to 70.

DIGIT is any of the numerals from 0 to 9.
