AN ITCH YOU CAN‘T SCRATCH has become a thoughtful and emotional album. Much of the songs were written by Ian Maxwell on New Year 2017, in a single session. The songs are reminiscent of the turbulent, shaggy and beautiful BIG RED LETTER DAY songs by BUFFALO TOM; However, this is seen through the CHEAP-TRICK glasses and enriched with a proper KEEGAN TWIST. The 14 songs on the album are brimming with cracking catchy tunes and emotional lyrics, embedded in a clear, rousing band sound, congenially captured and co-produced by REINHARD FINKE.
KEEGAN has earned its spurs in the last decade through a lot of top-class gigs (including KILIANS, THE RIFLES, THE AVETT BROTHERS, THE POSIES, etc.) and at their shows they are convincing with incredible energy.
