Causes for urinary tract obstruction might be lower urinary tract obstruction or upper urinary tract obstruction. Lower urinary tract obstruction might be because of meatal stenosis, stricture urethra, bladder neck obstruction, prostatic enlargements, stones and sometimes cancers in it. So we have to find out what is the cause and treat it according to the cause. Then the lower urinary tract obstruction is relieved. If the obstruction is not relieved this causes back pressure changes and damage to the kidneys and if the obstruction is severe the patient will not be able to void urine at all. So finding out the cause and then treating the patient is the right type of treatment in these cases.
