Sekai pours his soul into his training, but soon enough, he begins to realize his own limits. Eager to overcome his shortcomings, he completely disassembles his beloved Kamiki Burning Gundam, and challenges himself to rebuild it blindfolded, using only his hands to guide him. His plan was to approach "assimilation" from another angle. Assimilation is the process of merging one's senses with their Gunpla to draw out its utmost capabilities in battle, and Sekai was to attempt "reverse assimilation," merging the sensation of his Gunpla into himself. There, in total darkness, he uncovers a brand new version of his most cherished machine. With his training complete, and his Kamiki Burning Gundam rebuilt, Sekai works to customize it even further to match his ideal build. The result is the Shin Burning Gundam, a machine serving as proof that he overcame his limits.
