Russian bees temperment and first sting

Описание к видео Russian bees temperment and first sting

Since I recently bought eight Russian queen bees, all certified from Smith's Honey Farm, Coys Russian bees and Mann Lake. I started hearing concerns about their temperament and it made me concerned about their temperament.

So when I first installed the Queen's the bees that were in the hive were not the bees that the queen made, so I gave it some time for the Queen's bees to populate the hive and start seeing how it is to work with these certified Russian bees. And so far I am pleasantly surprised.

I mean I haven't accidentally dropped a frame on the ground or anything yet but, as far as just normal working with the bees, they have been great.

I will continue to monitor and assess, but once I heard a member from the RHBA say that the Russian bees are just like all the others where if you get a hive that is temperamental than just simply requeen it, that's when I decided to really dig into what kind of temperament these bees have.

So I got two queens from three different certified Russian bee farms. I think that should give a pretty good representation of the breed as a whole.
