Jeff Marek is no longer employed by Sportsnet. Talk about a dumb and stupid move. The Athletic published a very good article on why Marek was fired. According to league and media industry sources, Marek had been questioned by the Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB) and NHL security for allegedly leaking the names of players that teams were drafting just moments before the picks were publicly announced.
