The 1934 Underwood Universal is one of the most reliable, stripped-down, bare bones, no nonsense vintage manual typewriters ever made. It was a go-to machine for such writers as Ernest Hemingway, Robert E. Howard, William Faulkner, and F. Scott Fitzgerald.

If you insist on comfort and luxury, the Underwood Universal probably isn't for you. However, if you want one of the most solid, dependable writing machines ever manufactured, after watching this video, you might just hop on line and order one from your local typewriter dealer.
