Playing Roxanna Waltz and Black Mountain Rag on fiddle is 2017 Canadian Grand Masters Fiddle Champion : AYNSLEY PORCHAK, from Woodstock, Ontario. Aynsley Porchak is a graduate student in the Appalachian Studies Department at ETSU who recently graduated there with a BA in Bluegrass, Country & Old Time Music Studies. She has now won the Canadian Grand Masters Fiddling Championship on 26 August 2017. Two years previously she also won the US Grand Masters Fiddling Championship of 2015. This is an historic first, making her the first ever winner of both prestigious competitions.

This is the first public performance of the new 2017-2018 (academic year) ETSU Bluegrass Pride Band at the traditional opening venue for ETSU Autumn Semester- the Bluegrass On Broad free evening concert in Kingsport, Tennessee. This is always the last Bluegrass On Broad concert of the season just prior to Labor Day.
