✍ There are dozens of movies featuring Frankenstein's monster, most of them have preferred to keep the orthopedic version played by Boris Karloff in James Whale's 1931 film, and others have tried to be faithful to Mary Shelley's original novel. In our ranking of Frankenstein movies we have not wanted to show one or the other, but the most absurd and bizarre monsters, either because of their design or their background, or both.

Fifteen films may seem like too many, but the fact is that there are more weird Frankensteins than normal ones, and unfortunately we have had to discard quite a few films. We hope you like this tour through the craziest laboratories of Doctor Frankenstein.
