Family pleading for suspect to turn himself in after deadly shooting in southeast Shelby County

A family shattered by a horrific double homicide in Southeast Shelby County is speaking out. The family identified the victims as Anthonese Stewart and her mother’s longtime partner, Gary Newman.

The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office identified Jaylan McCollins as a suspect in the shootings and is warning the public that he is considered armed and dangerous.
