Wisconsin | Wayne and Melissa Travel (July 2022)

The land of cheese and bratwurst,
Where the Badgers roam and roam,
The rolling hills, the rolling fields,
The place we call our home.

The Great Lakes roll upon the shore,
And the forests spread so wide,
The prairies bloom with buttercups,
And the sun sets o'er the tide.

In Wisconsin, we're proud and true,
With a spirit that never dies,
From the cities to the countryside,
We keep our traditions alive.

From Milwaukee to Madison,
And all the towns in-between,
We celebrate our heritage,
With festivals and parades supreme.

The Summerfest music rocks,
And the State Fair is a feast,
We love to have a good time,
With all our friends, at least.

In autumn, the leaves turn gold,
And the air is crisp and cool,
The Packers play on Sunday nights,
And we tailgate like fools.

The snowflakes dance in winter's light,
And we sled and ski with glee,
The ice fishing huts dot the lake,
And we drink our brandy Old Fashioned-ly.

The spring brings back the green,
And the farmers start to sow,
We celebrate our way of life,
And watch the crops grow.

In Wisconsin, we are one,
A family bound by love,
A place where memories are made,
From heaven up above.

So raise a glass of brat and beer,
And let's cheer to the Badger state,
Where the rolling hills, the rolling fields,
Will always be our fate.
