After some more time spent with fellow CDTers in Cuba we headed out knowing we could see the end of New Mexico in the near distance.

Having had our first full snow experience and knowing there was snow on the hills above Cuba we confidently walked out of town early in the morning. Our confidence was rocked when we foolishly walked into knee deep snow after lunch. We battled through the "mashed potato" snow and then on to Ghost Ranch where my being a little sick forced us to Chama for a bit of R 'n' R.
