Introduction to Animal Movement Ecology

Part 1 of the Space-Use and Behavioral State Estimation Workshop.

This presentation provides an overview of the field of animal movement ecology, the primary focus being the estimation of latent (i.e., hidden) behavioral states from animal telemetry data. This presentation also provides examples of different ways that behavioral states can be used in subsequent analyses of interest.
