Arriving to shoot Alessi's Ark, we walked into the empty room of the Webster Hall main stage to find the lovely Laura Marling completing her sound check in her sweat pants. There was something magical about standing in the middle of an empty room; one that is usually packed out with 1500 fans and we knew right away that this shoot was going to be special.
We headed upstairs and met with 21 year old Alessi Laurent-Marke in her dressing room. She was relaxing before opening for Laura Marling that very evening, and was kind enough to welcome us in and perform 3 songs for us in the modest room overlooking the side of the stage.
