Dark Cloud - Minotaur Joe, Boss Battle #5

The last boss battle before the final boss is Minotaur Joe. Depsite his looks, he's actually quite a pushover. I didn't even get hit once. It's only a dangerous fight if you let him drink the barrels, because then he goes into Stamina mode, and will probably OHKO you if he hits you, or close to it. He does have a lack of HP though. Then again, my current weapon in this fight is one evolution short of one of Toan's ultimate weapons (you'd think a weapon called "Dark Cloud" after the game would be the utlimate weapon), but at least it still looks cool.

If you have a decent weapon you should be doing 100+ damage a hit. If he's in stamina mode you do less damage and he does more damage to you. His attacks are easy to avoid, just run from him if he starts dashing towards you. He's WIDE open when he starts drinking a barrel, that's your chance to attack. I'm not sure if you can actually attack him at any other time, I tried and missed. Either way he seems to have a couple thousand HP, but isn't so bad. He's the only boss in the game that isn't possessed by the Dark Genie, so that makes it a little different storyline wise.

I didn't like this fights music, it wasn't epic enough compared to most the others. The dungeon music is great here though, and the village music is calming. So that makes up for it. Next world is Dark Heaven Castle, where the Dark Genie is. There's a pretty long and interesting cutscene between the end of this video and before you get there, but I'm not going to upload that now. Next videos are going to be the final battle, it's going to be split into 3 videos (I already recorded it). First is the pretty cool cutscene before the final battle (this takes about 7 mins), then the final battle itself (10 mins), and then the ending and credits (10 mins).
