Hello everybody! In this bad boy we're handling an achievement guide for the achievements Minimalist and I Might Need These Later, which require you to beat Resident Evil 3 without using the item box or healing more than one time, respectively. The catch with only being able to heal once is that there is a part during the campaign that forces you to use a healing item. So in practice, the achievement is to never heal. I mention this in the video, but the only reason Jill Valentine is so speedy in this video is so the video is shorter for you. If you want the follow the video exactly you can also get the Sprinter Achievement. What I would actually suggest is that you get these achievements while getting all of the collectibles (Link to my all collectibles video a little further down). If you do that you'll get these two achievements as well as Bookworm, Hello Charlie!, Goodbye Charlie!, Gunsmith, Get Organized, Power Stones, RE: Master of Unlocking, and Kendo's Armory. All of that will fit nicely in a ~6 hour playthrough. A nice little two for one deal for you.

If for whatever reason you have to choose one achievement instead of both, it’s more important that you don’t use the box. All subsequent runs on higher difficulties will be helped massively with assault coins, defense coins, recovery coins, and the infinite rocket launcher, but you need to open the box to access them. Not doing this on the same run as all collectibles effectively adds an extra playthrough. Plus recovery coins boost your health regen, which will allow you to recover health up to caution even when you’re not on assisted difficulty. With this in mind, you could still go for the no heal achievement on hardcore.
